Poll: How do you feel about kids answering your questions sarcastically without even understanding you?

There was one underage girl from Argentina who evidently does not understand English very well. She thought I generalized a feeling or labeled Muslims and I did not. I only asked what others thought about them related to my question. I just think it is weird that these kids come on here, slam you with a few words while showing they did not understand you and then act like they are right. Dunno. Should be some sort of age limit here, like 18 or something. Comments?

I do think that she overreacted a bit and doesn't quite understand your question. Perhaps she did understand the question but was too emotional to give the answer that the question deserved. Perhaps there are more kids in P&S and Singles&Datings as compared to Religion & Spirituality, Philosophy and Politics. I once posted two of the same questions, one on P&S and another one on Politics. I won my bet when different groups of people actually gave very different answers. I also posted a poem of mine recently which was partly written by me, and partly written by a very famous poet. There's this kid who gave me a very sarcastic answer just because we didn't put capitalization throughout the poem and she says that it's very silly and ungrammatical of me. I bet the kid has never encountered or studied a theory called Poetic Licence in Literary Theory...yet she talks as if i'm the bad person who violated the ultimate rules of grammar! It hurts and offends me a lot. But we can't blame the kids for joining Y!A coz it's also a learning process for them. I guess this is just the perks of Y!A. You got brilliant answers by stimulating adults, but you have to bear with silly, unappropriate and ignorant answers by kids as well. ;-)

I find that annoying myself. So many people think they can answer questions without bothering to read them.

I'm starting to think that Y!A is right about reporting nonresponsive answers. It smacks of censorship, but some folks are just a waste of bandwidth. It's not like they are going to read enough to learn something, or even have an original contribution of their own.

Peronally, I find age less of a barrier than Literacy and Rationality, which many teens have more of than a lot of older folks.

That they have no idea what they are doing, and they think they actually know more than adults... About that girl, maybe she was just being sensitive, just like the Muslims in my country too... I see that Muslims misunderstands so easily...

I hope you are not referring to me too, since I'm 17 years old... ^_^

As a friend, I would like to advice you that this question should be in Religions and Spirituality... I don't mind but others may find you offensive...

Before I react or feel anything, I try to understand where each person is coming from. You know yourself better anyway and should not be embarrassed by the remarks of an innocent teenager . I think that education, breeding and experience thought me of to response to this issue.
