Never, as one doesn't know what germs lie on the ground. I was brought up that way and even while eating out, the food suddenly drops on the ground I was always stopped from picking it up and eating it!
Remember that some of the diseases are carried by our soles of our shoes when we commute from one place to another.

Ewww... no. Germs! I won't eat if it has been on the ground for half a second! I wouldn't even eat it if it fell on a ground that no one walked on, and it was professonally hot mopped 1,000 times each time with a different mop and different water!

I eat only grounded food... never used plates in my life...
even I drink water from ground... don't use a glass too. (LOL)

last year i brought a twister meal from kfc, and as she handed over the twister and i turned to walk away it fell our of the wrapper onto the floor,,,, i just scooped it up,, and ate it
embarrasing!, but i was hungry and wasnt gonna pay another $5, lol

EGADS NO! No matter how quick you pick it up from the floor it still gets bacteria on it. And around here my dog knows if it hits the floor, it's his.
