I would wait...just in case...you never know when that crazy night 15 years ago will come back and bite you in the *** ((smirks)). I'm teasing, but I am currently going through the same thing and sadly, I did NOT pass my background check because I was stopped by the police two months ago and issued a citation for an expired inspection sticker on my car.

It was because of the citation, not the charge that I failed...

What will they possibly find? If you've been subjected to identity theft, it could muck up the works, but extremely unlikely.

Just go tell your current boss that if he needs any Viagra, you can hook him up....He'll ask why and you'll have a natural way to explain that you are going over to Pfizer. If he wants a job, tell him there is stiff competition to get in. HarHarHar!!

I agree with the majority in this case; wait for your BG to clear prior to handing in your notice of resignation. The receiving HR person should ask when you are available to start work at which point you can state "After my two weeks notice with my present employer." They should understand and respect that you are willing to give your current employer the respect of a 2-week notice.

No. I have been given this information by a number of professionals with years of experience.
You never know what can happen. I know you are going to say how could a company do that, make up some excuse not to hire me after I have already quit my job....seriously they do it every day.

I would wait if you can.. it depends on when you need to begin the new job... but if you can, wait until you have a solid offer of a new job with all your ducks in a row
