I'm going to wear emerald green form fitting just-below-knee length dress with black shoes and black satin purse with a bit gold tone. I know I could wear green eyeshadow but I don't want to go for too matchy look. So I'm here for more options.

I have hazel eye color, fair to medium skin with gold tone and Black hair. If you could tell me the color and brand, that'd be great. I'll choose the most complete detail answer as the best answer. Thanks in advance.

Okay, here's what you do.

Take a metallic green (not emerald green, something more.. goldish/greenish, like the one in this

and put in on the outer half of both eyes lids(pictured in pink squares HERE:) http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b212/AstroChicken/eyeshadowmodel.jpg

Then take a gold color, and put it on the INNER half of the eyelids.

take the darker green/gold pictured HERE: http://www.raesinimages.com/topo.jpg and use a fine push to put it in the crease.

then take a very soft nude, and brush it up to your eyebrows. Your finished look should blended, and green/gold.

remember that a little goes a long way when you're using colors like green.

Good call. To wear green eyeshadow would definitely be overkill. Judging from your question, I understand the event you're going to attend is in the daytime. Smoky eyes are generally better for evening events, when it calls for a little more drama. But this is what I do when I go out for stuff during the day, and want to put my best face forward.

Start with a mousse foundation, so that you don't look too heavily made up. Apply it with a sponge, blending outwards. Dust on a little loose powder with a big fluffy powder brush to set the foundation, and to make your complexion appear dewy. Don't forget to put some on your neck; nobody wants to see a floating face early on in the day.

For your hazel eyes, I suggest using something on the brown side. I love Clinique's eyeshadow in Like Mink, which has brown and beige. Apply the beige to your eyelid from lash line to just below the crease using a full, square-cut eyeshadow brush or your ring finger. Then, with the edge of said brush, apply some of the brown on the crease of your eyelid, making sure to blend it outwards towards your ears around the edges. Line your eyes with a brown eyeliner pencil (Wet and Wild's eyeliner pencil in dark brown works great) and smudge lightly with a cotton swab. Curl your lashes and apply two coats of Maybelline's Great Lash mascara in Dark Brown and you're set.

For the cheeks, see if you can use a blush in the peachy and orange tone (any brand works, really). Try to stay away from anything rosy, so you don't upstage your eyes. For your lips, a nude to coral shade works well. The key here is keep everything else neutral, since the main focus of your face is going to be your eyes.

Good luck, and have fun during your event.

There are a lot of brands to choose from but I like Bourjois for the glamor of the products and the long-lasting quality - the product is made by Chanel. Use a cream-colored eyepencil over the whole eyelid to fix the eyeshadow you'll use, then line your eyes with a soft dark grey eye pencil. Apply a light shade of lilac/lavender on the inside of the eyelid (closest to the eyes), then in the middle of the eyelid apply a darker shade of purple. The middle section of the eyelid can be brushed with a soft eyeshadow brush to mix the two shades of purple. Finish with several coats of either black or purple mascara which is the hot color to wear this autumn.
