i guess it really isen't our governments responsability. you would just think that people sacraficing their lives for our country woulden't be at the bottom of our society.

I have worked with the homeless and it is an intolerable situation. But there is no easy solution or we would have already done it. Crying out for the government will not help.
Most of the homeless I came into contact with were mentally ill, the vast majority also had substance issues.
The problem increased when mental hospitals were closed down. I realize that there was some forms of abuse at these places but the alternative was sending these people back on the streets..
Contact your local shelter in Oklahoma City it is City Mission or Jesus House but there are similar facilities in your city. You can blame Bush or Hillary; curse the Republicans or the Democrats or even call liberals or conservatives names or just blame the government. If that makes you feel self righteous then go ahead but if this problem is to at least be alleviated then it will take the action of Americans not the government.

Where do you want to start ? How about the self-serving career politicians that don't accomplish much when it comes to bettering the lives of Americans ?
Maybe we should get taxes down to where they are manageable instead of making people work 3 months out of the year to pay them.
Or actually get rid of the programs that no longer serve a purpose but the government is still collecting money on.
Maybe kick big government to the curb a little and tell them to get some good and basic social programs to help people like this out while scrapping the social programs that aren't working...or the ones that just keep growing and wasting our tax dollar.
I'd like a 3rd party civilian oversight board to go down the budget and scratch off all the pork projects, ear marks and non-sense.
Just a few thoughts =)

Rant all you like, legalizing marijuana won't recommend 10 billion for the government. it is going to basically value individuals extra. The growers and manufacturers could would desire to get their revenue first. Then the government will tax it. plenty. Then with each and all of the bans on smoking in public, there could basically verify places you need to smoke it. So regardless of if it have been legalized, do no longer think of for a 2nd you would be waiting to smoke it anyplace you wanted. And as till now with each and all of the companies and government getting their cuts, marijuana could be extra costly. it somewhat is the hardship with pot people who smoke, they do no longer think of it each and each of ways via.

What? Doesn't the US have enough money for veterans? On a second thought, well, you see, the US have client states, such as Israel, to support, as well as an occupation in Iraq to finance, as well as an injustice institution in the Hague to economically support. And what if the US president likes to go for an outing with an Albanian terrorist? Do you think they will eat in a cheep restaurant? Mind you, I don't think they need money to fulfill their sexual desires... You Know, obvious reasons.

Now as an american what are you going to do about it. Are you like most folks that say "How sad" and just walk away. If you truly care do something and if all that care did something the problem might just go away!

Corruption is depriving the veterans of their pay because the politicians are using the funds in other projects to improve their image for the next election.

it has become a democracy,..next step, totalitarianism,..a true communist government will correct the problems we have to day,..people will still have their freedoms, but the abuse of those freedoms that are detrimental to society will not be tolerated,..the corporate entities will no longer monopolize the people,..health insurance and auto insurance will be corrected,..all citizens will prosper,..structure is the true communist government,..all we need to do is vote the current batch of clowns in the government out and elect the true communist representatives in and watch the new american society prosper,..

They are American's forgotten. Everyone should be concerned about this. Have you noticed their age? They are between retirement and social security age, and there is nothing for them in the way of benefits. Instead congress wants to give what they should have to the illegals. Start with your state senators. Most adult homeless are mentally ill. We have a lot of them in our area because it is warm most of the year on the coast.

I too, am angry over the treatment our Vets get.
BUT, we do have a Senate Armed forces committee. Look who is on it, and you'll see what the problem is.
