Good question!
It has been my view and my stand that heart indeed always out powered the head. As i said before i would prefer to have a good heart than a good head. Character as against intelligence. What will i do with intelligence if the character of a person is nothing.
If a person has a big heart, one will take the power over the big head. The heart has its own reason that the head cannot understand. This i think is the most powerful edge of the heart than the head.
I may be good with people here because of my good heart rather than the intelligence which i don't have much. I still would prefer the former whatever the consequence.
I might be a loser as everybody knows through their heads but i am a great winner and have the power because of my heart.
Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

The one who wins with the head, wins agreement and assent. The one who wins hearts wins passion and loyalty.
However, one can not adore what the mind has rejected - so there is a limit to the power of mere hype. And, by the same token, truth (head) without meaning (heart) can be dangerous. It's the difference between knowing the facts of cancer research and attending a funeral. The separation of truth from meaning can lead to very dehumanizing conclusions.
Bottom line - do your homework (head) but know how to apply it to your audience and speak their language of meaning (heart).

While both have an immense power the one who wins over hearts will always be more powerful. When one wins over someone’s mind they have reasoned with and if you bought their loyalty because of it. However emotion colour all that we do and think, and when someone wins another over by their heart, well there is a reason they say someone 'stole my heart'. Emotions are volatile and while they can be extremely short lived they can also be extremely powerful.
Hope this helps.

Well when one recognizes that there are people who think both ways then the one who teaches with the heart will touch the one with the heart, but not the head. But the one who teaches with his head and not the heart will reach only the one with head. But in the latter case the listener with the heart can response also.

The one who wins people through his head uses strategy and the one who wins hearts uses charisma.
I think the one who uses charisma is more powerful beacuse they don't have to work at winning people. It just comes by nature.
The one who wins people through his head has to work at it and therefore it does not come naturally.

I would have to say the one who wins hearts. This question seems to be related to the question: what's more important, IQ or emotional intelligence? And research shows that having higher EQ is more important when it comes to having a more successful life.
Take this example: let's say person A is very smart and is able to beat most people in arguments. But this person is a complete jerk and egoist. Thus, person A has a lot of enemies. Now, person B may not be very smart, but he's very likable and just a well-round person when it comes to relationships. He has lots of friends that has different expertises and they're willing to help him with any questions he has.
Now, would you want to be person A or B? :)

I know from experience the heart is more important. I think the best example is any sort of competition. You can provide the best logical explanation of why you should win, but when it comes down to it people are motivated by their hearts, not their heads.

If you mean political power, the general rule is the heart. Because statistically there are more people who use their hearts rather than their heads when it comes to the polls.
