The BBC is the best news coverage in the World-Period. Because they take a more balanced both sides of the story approach you call them liberal? I would say they are as close to dead centre of the political spectrum as you could get. I trust them, unlike how I do not trust any Amerian news groups. They are right wing. As for Al Jeezera they also give a more balanced view of things, and yes they do receive some material from the Taleban and various political groups around the world, but that is because they will at least attempt to show both sides, however wrong they may seem to any individual. Good journalism involves telling both sides of the story in a balanced and neutral way. American use a lot of religion, patriotism & propaganda in the reporting. The BBC have also shown the reality of the war in Iraq, from both sides and got closer (Had journalists traveling with troops) something I have not seen from Fox yet.

Well, as opposed to some of the earlier comments by others, Liberal media, but definition is any source that will hold back some o fthe information to make the democratic or liberal cause look better. Sure, other countries don't necessarily have ties to our democratic party, but some do, but liberalism is almos t like a disease around the world.
Take the topics that they cherish...like global warming, or treatment of prisoners. There are many issues America is facing at the moment that apply internationally.
There in lies the problem. Liberals seem blind to the fact or just do'nt care if they are lied to. They do'nt often travel outside their own comfort zone. If the media doesn't tell them the "whole" truth...oh well. Personally I think that is reprehencible. I get mad if someone deceives me. I take the information in like everyone else, but at least I have the ethic to shut the hell up until I've investigated and cross-referenced it with a few sources.
From the libs I know, they just grab what they hear and jump on the emotional band wagon with perhaps good intention, but if your wrong, your not doing any good to anyone. You can't even guarrantee that you won't do permanent harm with your actions if you do'nt understand the facts of the matter.
I do'nt let emotion blur my common sense. Niether should you.
BBC is generally the UK, I challenge you to find any conservative voice in the island nation. It just doesn't have a large footprint there. and Al Jazeera twists everything. They are so anti American they'd blame the moon falling out of the sky on us if they could. They have many times been shown as the propaganda machine of the region.
Take the Schips program.....which network told us about it ? NY Times ? Washington Post ? CNN ? they all pretty much covered it, alot of them saying that Bush plans on cutting it.
Ah, but the fact is, they didn't tell you Bush planned on expanding it by 4 Billion to include the growing poor children population. They saw it as a cut because the democrats wanted a much higher amount...and that..to them...is a cut.
They also didn't tell you it would apply to people up to the age of 25 (not a kid in my book) and up to $82,000 a year income...(not poor in my book) and that states might be allowed to interpret where that money is allocated...meaning it might go to illegal aliens.
Now if that isn't a clear and cut example of why liberal media sucks, well, guess you like being lied to.
And if that's the case, I'll solve all your money problems if you send all your money to me at...........................LOL

Right wing conservatives label everything that is not right wing conservative as "liberal". They also say liberals are un-American, so calling foreign media, "liberal" adds to that association. Finally, of course, they get a two for one with Al Jazeera, because labeling it "liberal" is the same as calling US liberals un-American and pro Arab or pro Muslim at the same time.

All media other than obvious conservative outlets are considered to be liberal media by U.S. conservatives, just as Nazis considered all non-controlled media to be Jew controlled media. Al Jazeera can't logically be considered liberal since they see the world through a conservative Muslim lens.
Conservatives love huge, scary conspiracies.

BBC is more socialist than liberal. Al Jazeera is not a "free" press.

It is not even a value judgment it just is.
