In the bible, only the snake talked to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden as a mean of tempting them with the forbbiden fruit. The snake had the ability to talk and that was only because he was a disguise of Satan.

Christian mythology and Biblical account are NOT the same thing. In Christian mythology there are many instances of animals talking. However, in the Bible, specifically in the Old Testament there are only a couple of examples and that was an Angel disguised as something else. Consequently the 'angel' became a fallen angel.

Best.

cattbarf is right. There is no separate Christian Mythology. And the Book of Numbers has Balaam's Donkey. My copies of Genesis state the the Serpent spoke to Eve, however they do not state that the Serpent was Satan. This appears to be a later legend we would be better off ignoring.

Just "Satan" disguised as a snake. Which is a reptile and not what I would consider an animal. I don't think that animals ever talk in "Christian" mythology. That would put them to close to being on a level with man.

From the bible Adam was created first and then "God" created the animals and brought them to Adam to be named. This is putting human importance above anything else so that we would be convinced of man's favor from "God". Adam may have been able to understand the needs of the animals but I would think that was more divine intellect then the animals actually talking to him.

Now, there are several sects of Christianity. Some of them may have legends or myths about talking animals but you mostly find them in more ancient societies.. i.e. Greek, Celt, Roman, Hindu, Egyptian and so forth.

So the simple answer is: If there are any instances of vocalizing animals in Christianity then I' ve never heard of them.

There is no Christian mythology.
In the Torah, we have the story of Balaam ***.

Besides the serpent, there was Balaam's ***. Both were in the OT.
