In some sense they do. But, in the long run, we still have to go home alone, often to an empty home...share a bed with a big pillow...and we have to confront and resolve our own issues. A friend can only do so much or say so much. The rest is up to us to overcome.

Friends are everything to me in this world. The bond, the conversation, and the intimimacy of a best friend is one of the most beautiful gifts in this world.
The friends I know have indeed helped carry my burden, just like Christ carries our burdens when we fall to our knees.

Oh my gosh yes! Friends and family without them I would be lost and alone! With burdens that would seem unbearable.
