Global warming is completely a political scare tactic.

I could give you a long list of proof, but the one that is easiest to check would be the "Fact" that the 90's were the hottest decade on record.

Well, sorry this really is easily proven wrong. In the 80's we had a cold war between the US and the Soviet Union. If you remember, they had alot of problems coming out of it, and one of the results was there was no money available to pay for research of any kind. This resulted in the loss of over 1000 climate stations on the ground in Siberia (A cold place). When the readings for these areas were taken out of the equation of "global temperature", all of a sudden the temperature rose. Satellite temperature readings did not even change .1 degree C over that time, and these readings are much more exact that human readings anyway. If the average temperatures for the stations in Siberia are put back in the equation, the temperature is the same. Easy math, but even easier for "Greens" to use as a scare factor.

Global warmings are not like meteors, they do not have sudden devastating impacts.

That being said, the effect on humanity will still be profound but it may take centuries. There will be less arable land and coastlines, and droughts will be greater within the interiors of continents.

According to some scientists it is completely possible that this round of global warming will reduce the ability of the sea to absorb oxygen.

This can allow anerobic bacteria to thrive in the seas that metabolize sulfure rather than oxygen, cause massive amounts of hydrogen sulfide to be emitted into the atmosphere.

Hydrogen sulfide is lethal even in small concentrations to most things that breathe oxygen. Once the anerobic bacteria take over the seas, most complex life on earth will be extinct within days, and our atmosphere will begin to resemble that of Titan's.

When will the takeover happen? Unknown... anywhere between now and the next two centuries.

Better break out your spacesuit!

Good luck! You're gonna need it.

there is no set year.

furthermore, the earth isn't going to die because of global warming, that's all political scare tactics.

certainly, humans will have to make living adjustments if warming continues. we'll have to move inland due to rising ocean levels on the coast. we'll have to find new agricultural methods due to higher temperatures.

but a couple degrees isn't going to destroy the earth. it simply changes the way we've been accustomed to living.

to see a runaway greenhouse effect that would kill us all, see the atmosphere of Venus

Who really cares about global warming anyway is a better question.Quit worrying about it, and just enjoy life and all the things u got now.So what if there's less water or no gas in the future.Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, so I don't know about you but I'm gonna get mine and enjoy it while I'm here. Let someone else figure out what they'll do in the future. It aint gonna be our problem so who cares.
