Why not is the question that should be asked.

I have married someone from a different culture. Marriage is difficult enough to add that to the facts.

A different religion would mean you'd lead seperate lives. A different race is not necessarily a different culture here in America. I'm fine with a different race. I considered it from the very beginning when I was 5 years old I had ideas of marrying a non-white man. One of the reasons was that I liked the idea of having a mixed race child. It was unusual then but now it is more common than a pure blood.

If I were not yet married, yes, because love knows no boundary. Anybody has the right to marry whoever he/she wants to marry.

However, there are always consequences that you have to be ready to tackle of. And if couples having same race & religion still struggle to get adjsuted to each other & still face difficulties living with each other, how much more for 2 persons of different race and/or religion?

But surprisingly, there are couples (not so many though) who are entirely of race and religion yet are getting well with each other & are living a happy marriage, it is because of their emmense love for each other.

So the key word is not race, culture or religion but LOVE.

The religion thing can get sticky - And I mean it can get nasty.
Race - I am white and my wife is from Mexico. We get along great - We have our fights but not about race or that kinda thing.
But the religion thing - That makes me wonder. I would not marry a muslim just becouse we are so very, very different. The laws of their countries can turn around and bite your *** real hard if your visiting them there. In some of those countries you have no rights if your not muslim.

Race, yes
Religion, no

Race - I take people as individuals, so if you catch my eye and continue to hold my interest, how could your race alone impact that?

Religion - I am a Christian, and I put my faith in Jesus Christ. If he cant say the same, then we dont have the same source. We'd never come to any consensus on a lot of things because we'd be busy going after our own opinion instead of coming together to pray about it, and trusting God for the answer.

Absolutely. Why wouldn't I consider marrying the person I love? We're all people, so why should race or religion matter much?

No. Because first off in my family a different race would be like spitting on my own heritage. A different religion would cause a lot of friction between me and them. I'm not religious but I have a lot of faith and I get annoyed easily with people who push being religious. Plus I'm already engaged to a wonderful man.

Different race yes, its good to have a variation in cultures. makes things interesting :)
Religion probably not. Im catholic, anything between the christian grounds is ok for me. Just makes life easier, less arguments and contraversy. Better up bringing for your kids too for both parents to have the same belief.

Oh, yeah, definitely. We're all human, and there's nothing different about any of us. The first one to prove to me that we are different based on race/gender/etc. will have something very special waiting for them, considering I have Associative Agnosia and probably won't understand what they're trying to tell me.

But yeah, I married a person of very different religion than myself, and we are perfectly happy.

Yes, if I'm in love with someone then sure.

It is sure that living together with someone having different religion or beliefs can be hard, but it can't be harder than living with someone having the same religion. So, I think it doesn't matter. If you belong together, you can overcome the hindrances, if not...
