Never cared for any of them, though they all broke new ground of their era. I can't name a single song by Hendrix or Joplin, mostly because stations seldom play their music. The Beatles, on the other hand, seem to be everywhere.

The Beatles definately, Joplin to a lesser extent ......... but Hendrix can never be overrated.

Definately NOT Jimi. The other two, I would say so. I can't even think of any Joplin songs... The Beatles were only as popular as they were because their style of music was different from anyone else at the time.

Yes, one could easily say that todays musicians are far more talented and capable then those guys(the ones that write and play their own music). It was just the fact they were the first people to do things.
