Do you think if you wore high heels to a job interview, that it would increase your chances of getting the job? My friend said she read a study that says this is very true.

If you're a woman; yes. Man; I don't know.

It isn't the heels that give you a higher chance of getting a job, it is your overall look. You need to look professional and tidy, nothing to baggy or tight or revealing. Heels complete this look well as long as they are not very tall. This is not the time to drag out your sky high stilettos. You need to be able to walk comfortable in them. Also, if you are wearing a skirt or dress I would really suggest stockings, just because they will make you look much classier. If you are going to wear jewellery, keep it simple. Nothing plastic or too blingy or colourful. Also make sure that your hair is neat and out of your face so that you don't play with it. Most of all, walk with confidence! Good luck.

I have also read studies on the subject in advertising classes. I'll try to shorten the theory for you.
When a woman wears heels it produces an arch in her heels and the calf muscles to contract. The look is nearly exactly that as when a woman has an orgasm, her feet usually stretch out and calves tighten. It is believed by many that it is a subconscious reaction that causes men to be attracted to heels.
Hope that helps.

Heels tend to make a woman look more sophisticated, taller, and professional. Many women also claim the heels give them confidence.

There are studies that show that women who wear heels make better salepersons and sell more products. They also make better managers. There are studies that back this up...

As far as interviews...it's likely it helps but Im not certain.

I don't believe they increase your chances for getting a job if you're a tall woman to begin with. If you wear heels, you will tower over the men and that can be intimidating for a lot of them.

You seem like a very nice kid, so I will try to help you! Well, there is a tiny chance that you have not finished growing yet! Although there is no natural way to grow more, there is ways to appear taller. Adding lean muscle on is a great way to lengthen the body, and add height. Swimming is great for adding lean muscle, and so is bicycling. These are some of the only things you can do!

It might. When I hire someone I try to go off just the facts but I also give a lot of consideration to how they look as well. Not color/sex/age or anything like that, but if they have enough respect about themselves to come in looking their best, shows a sense of pride, that they think something of themselves. If they come in all jacked up, clothes not pressed or in jeans or something like that, they prolly will not get the job. Hope it helps and good luck!

Possibly, but the key is "business dress".:
you're going on a job interview, not a night out with the boyfriend.

I know that in my industry, that skirt suits and heels are pretty much the standard if you want to get the job. You want to look feminine yet conservative all at the same time.

Depends on the heels and the outfit. Long pants and heels would be good. But make sure they aren't more then 7cm in height.
