That's a mighty fine idey. Ashootin possum together is us hillbillys way of bonding. But don't ya think a 12 gauge shotgun would blow it to smithereens?Oh are you talkin bout them possums over by that old fac toree? I heered they get as big as bears some have 2 heads.

It don't matter none. I can't see good enough to hit the broad side of a barn so Hannah gets to choose her weapon.

I'd say a good old trust coon dog. To keep her company, while she's a rocking on that chair on the front porch, Also to scare off any of them revenue fellas, when they come a snooping around. Not to mention those fellas from the other side of the Holler, that have been looking to force their intentions on her. We all have to look out for our women folk,
a handy woman is real hard to find these days. Since so many of them want to haul off to the big cities.
