2pac - So Many Tears, sorry but it is my favorite song.

Nas - 2nd Childhood, and all of Illmatic, sorry again, I know thats a little cliche.

OK, not that those are out of the way:

Pete Rock And C.L. - T.R.O.Y., Escape, Searching, Its Like That

Gang Starr - Code of The Streets, Lovesick

Slum Village - I Don't Know

De La Soul - Stakes Is High, favorite J Dilla beat.

Bahamedia - 3 the Hard Way

Black Moon - I Got Cha Opin(Remix)

Camp Lo - Luchini

Diamond D - Sally Got a One Track Mind, luv it.

I guess those are a good selection as some of my favorite songs, my favorite is probably Stakes is High or Sally Got a One Track Mind. Hope they make up for the 2pac and the cliche ones.

Mann, all these people call themselves hiphop heads, but they forgot to mention one hit from way back when that started hiphop in the first place and that has to be The Message by Grandmaster Flash homie. Nobody had this one. Kickin' it old school, You Know It!!!!!!!!! That jam has caught the essence of what living in the ghetto is all about. and no rap has come close. that rap is just one constant creshendo
