Wouldn't have a clue! I demand fed, so she ate what she wanted, when she wanted. If your baby is gaining weight and wetting nappies frequently with clear or pale urine, it's all good. My daughter is 7 months now, and my grandmother still goes on about quantity. She was suggesting I weigh my daughter before and after a feed to find out how much was going in. I'm still not sure why I am meant to care!

If you breast feed, they say to feed twenty minutes on each breast, but you could do half an hour. You shouldn't feed them for over an hour as they only have small stomachs, and you milk supply will not get a chance to catch up.
If you are formula feeding check on the back of you can of formula as it will tell you how much. It is about 150 mls, but remember that breast milk is a lot thinner then formula is so if you are bottle feeding breast milk you may need a bit more. Your baby will tell you when they are full or over full in some cases buy spitting it out or mucking around with the teat. Just burb them when this happens and try again, and you will soon know if they are still hungry.

my son is 2 yrs and a month old. he eats all the time, but very small portions.
this is only because i eat often (not just 3 times a day) so, i always offer him what im eating, and he has a little.
he loves steamed rice with corn and peas and chicken pieces.
he also loves mash potatos with like beef - small pieces in straganoff sauce) and stuff like that.
he enjoys a full bowl of chicken soup (his favourite) and always asks for more.
he weighs abou 14kilos. so not skinny or chubby, just right.
he also likes home made hot chips, and strangely he likes to dip it in chilli sauce (just like his parents - has a taste bud for chilli)
