If I remember correctly, as a kid my first hero was Spider-Man but it's changed over the years. Now I love more than one hero. My fave would be the super teams, The X-Men, Fantastic Four, Avengers and The New Avengers.

Batman, a man who use brain over matter and can solve anything if he wants to.
He beat Superman twice in Dark Knight Returns and Jim Lee time as artist of Batman.
He is timeless, if not how come he can last for 60+ years.

Dick "Nightwing former Robin" Grayson he has all the training of Batman is the second or third best detective in comics, is the best acrobat (former trapeeze artist), is the second best natural leader. He has all the plusses of Batman but lack the paranioa that makes Batman sometimes distrust his friends.

Captain Marvel. Popular in my childhood, and I actually liked his alter ego, boy radio newscaster Billy Batson.
