I mean, you can give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Or in the case of the liberals a wheel of cheese. But if they'd learn to fish on their own, there would be no need to give them a wheel of cheese.

I believe you are laboring under some misconceptions. I don't think of myself as a "liberal," but as I vote Democratic more often than not, I'm sure you would consider me one. I've been working since I was 13. Full time since I was 16. I work hard, pay my taxes, take care of my family and obey the laws. I enjoy fishing, especially trout. I hunt on occasion, mostly deer and birds. And there are millions of Americans just like me. It's easy to insult people who disagree with you about politics or anything else, but that doesn't get us anywhere. Most people in this country basically agree about the important things. We want to be free to live our lives. We want the government to protect us from criminals and terrorists, and we don't want to pay more taxes than we have to. We want to take care of our families without government interference, but we appreciate a helping hand when disaster strikes. Sure, we disagree about somethings, but we're all proud Americans. If you start from there, you'll find people a lot more ready to listen.

The path of least resistance is to take them from someone who has already exerted the necessary labor to catch them. This is favored by those unwilling or to lazy to learn. The liberals must promise them some of your fish to maintain power.

Get rid of the Fed. The Fed lowering interest rates to below 1% was what led to the housing bubble.

Abolish the EPA.

Abolish the Dept. of Education.

Abolish the Dept. of Energy.

Abolish Medicaid.

Abolish HUD.

End Welfare.

Get rid of the income tax and IRS.

Abolish the Democrat party.

Then no more problems and capitalism can really create an even more prosperous and wealthy society, a technologically advanced utopia undreamed of where everyone can make more money.

No Jimmy Carter-- by god you must have gone back into your coma. See you in a couple of decades--that is if our current president doesn't get us blown up before then.

eh... leave it to a Republican to change it to "learn on your own how to fish"...
