Mediterranean climate, as it is usually called,is a distinctive type of sub tropical climate, characterized by dry,hot,sunny summers and mild ,moderately rainy winters.This type of weather is found in the land regions bordering the Mediterranean sea,central and coastal California,central Chile ,extreme south of South Africa and parts of Southern Australia.

Basically the Mediterranean weather is split in two half's during the course of the year. In summer generally it is hot, in winter much amount of rain, sometimes in connection with thunderstorms. Notorous north winds (Mistral,Meltem,Bora) may rise all the year.
As tourists would say: eternal sunshine separated only by days of endless rain.
