I pierced my own ear (the second ear hole).
This is what I did when piercing it. I -
washed my hands
sterilised the pin I used, approx. 20 times
washed my hands again after sliding it through my ear
then sterilised the earring several times before putting it in my second ear hole. During the day, my ear was really red so I took the earring out and the ear hole looked like a black dot and clear liquid was coming out. At the moment, my ear is only a bit red and a bit harder than the other ear which is very soft. Will the redness and swell go down? Anybody else been in this situation? Any tips ? Thanks.

For those that said it is an infection, it isn't. I just found information on what is normal during the healing process:
itching, secretion of a whitish-yellow fluid (not pus) that will form crust on the jewellery. The tissue may tighten and swell up around the jewellery as it heals.
So it is not an infection.
