The coin has United States of America on both sides 1 dollars on the back no mint mark that I see.

The 1851 silver dollar is the Seated Liberty type and can not be mistaken for an Indian. Seated Liberty is a full body not a bust. There are no coins with the United states of America on both sides. you either have a silver round, which is one ounce of silver with almost any image on either side. it would say Once ounce .999 silver on it. Other than that it maybe a medal or token or a fantasy item. a lot of fantasy items are showing up these days. They are either a made up so-called coin or from a country that does not exist and never did. There must be more writing on the coin than you stated. At least you have a conversation piece.
