With Edgar Renteria gone to the tigers, it would be great to see A-rod play shortstop for the braves. but the braves could also use the money to build up there bullpen and starting pitching. what do guys think? spend all the money on one player or use the money to make the pitching better

The Braves are cheap, I'd be surprised if they dished out the money it would take to sign Bighead Rod.

I would love to see A-Rod on the Braves, or any other National League team. Or on the Red Sox. Anywhere but the Yankees. But I am prejudiced- I'm a Yankee fan.

Any team that wants to pay a fortune for a guy who is all about his own statistics and contributes almost nothing to the team, who CHOKES when an at-bat is important, who is utterly useless in the play offs, should go right ahead and pay A-Rod $30 million a year to drag the team down.

Braves, Red Sox, either is fine by me.

I dont think that the braves are even a contender in the A-Rod game. They just made a couple big trades during the deadline for Dotel and Mark T. Also, i dont think the braves or any other team besides the yanks for that matter, have the $$ that he is currently demanding. by the way, hes demanding 10yrs, 350mill.

No, they don't have the money. Besides, they've already got Chipper Jones at third and Yunel Escobar likely to fill in at shortstop. They should go after pitching; they already have plenty of offense.

I'm not sure why people ask whether it'd be a good idea to pick up A-Rod. He puts up huge numbers, wins MVPs and is regarded as the best player in baseball. Tell me what team wouldn't want A-Rod and I'll tell you they will be the first.

they moved renteria because they have someone they believe is ready (name escapes me). take that money that a-rod wants and sign texiara (or however you spell it) long term, hunter or rowland to replace jones in cf, and glavine for one more year

Bobby Cox has aged 20 years putting up with Andrew Jones' crap all these years, why would he want to age another 50 years dealing with another primadonna?

It would be a better Idea that the Red Sox picked him up.
