My former husband died today. We have property entering escrow that we have had for twenty yrs His domestic partner of two years feels that he is intitled to the half that would have been my ex husbands'

You will need an attorney but if you haven't remarried I think you would be entitled to some thing

Not sure but you need to speak to a lawyer. In some states you got to be with your Spouse for 10 years before you can claim any rights to their property.

Bite the bullet and hire an attorney already. You really do not want important advise like this from goofballs like us.
