Macromedia's flash, is the only flash animation program... that's why it's called flash.
Flash is a vector based animation software. It's probably the best for web based animations.
Another Vector based software is Toonboom. It's supposed to be better for general animation, but more complected.
These are the two big names I hear kicked around. I recommend Macromedia Flash 8 if your just starting out and fooling around. Both programs are expensive, you can download a trial version of flash from their website. https://store1.adobe.com/cfusion/store/index.cfm?store=OLS-US&NR=0#loc=en_us&view=ols_prod&store=OLS-US&categoryOID=1148793&distributionOID=105&NR=0

as properly from Flash suggested above (strongly cautioned), listed below are some others. some are VERY pricy: Combustion $1000 - Very effective software. Does some debris, some 3-D form effects, and a few shade correction. I used it in an animation classification and that i'd desire to declare that's in simple terms user-friendly extraordinary. you will get the demo too just to pattern it. very final decrease professional $1300 - large video modifying software. may well be used to checklist sound, edit video clips, edit audio, and shade correction.
