It is impossible for mankind to achieve peace on earth himself.
As a matter of fact, it says in the Word of God that is God did not shorten the time to his Son's return no flesh would be saved.
So in other words, man will ultimately destroy himself unless God does not interfere.
Yet, once the Son has come upon the earth and has destroyed all his enemies, it is written it will be a time of great peace. The lion and the lamb will lie in the field together.
Come Lord Jesus come.

It is the nature of our species to seek out new challenges. That is why we evolve. Unfortunately, the other side of this nature is that when we run out of legitimate challenges, we invent new ones.
Did you ever notice that people with REAL problems (such as cancer) rarely sweat the small stuff, but people who lead a "charmed" life act as though it's the end of the world if the local Starbucks opens 10 minutes late?
It is possible to have peace on earth, we have experienced it countless times in our lifetime. The problem is, that peace is always short lived, and is usually the result of a natural disaster.
Once the common threat is eliminated, we quickly tire of peace and start looking for adversity. And when we look for adversity, we ALWAYS find it, whether it exists or not.
Will anything ever unite us all for more than a few moments in the vastness of time? Perhaps. But it will take an enormous challenge or a common threat from outside of this world to make it happen.

Peace at this point will be within the self.
I have thought for a number of years that as long as there are two humans there will be two conflicting ideas, and that they will go down fighting for their ideas. That's sad isn't it.....but mind you...hope springs eternal and I believe that Peace is the ideal solution to man existence, however, I think that this Earth may not be the place that Peace is possible.

Interesting question!
Seriously speaking, it is highly impossible for us humans to attain peace on earth. Division of races and religions are one of the factors that suppresses peace. The main reason ofcourse is the continues production of war armaments and weapons. So long as these warfares are there. Peace we want to attain is impossible. It had been a dream of so many of us to have peace on earth but up to this generation the peace we are looking is still out there. It remains a hope and a dream. However, what is important is we are not loosing hope. We still hold to our dreams that someday somehow the peace will reign.
Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

No.
Plato said it best, when we live in a society that doesn't have their desires under control, we become very selfish instead of thinking what is best for the State [society] Plus, I feel as though we live in a time where we have lost people who don't understand what their purpose in life is. Our Governing systems is only contributing to this as well. How can you give peace or stand for peace/justice when you don't know what it is? What have an idea of what peace it. A world with everyone in their place of excellence doing not what they feel is right but what is said to be right. But I don't think that is peace at all. We will never have peace in a place where justice doesn't exist.

I can't see the possibility for that right now, due to war mongers in the world, but, as written in the Bible, after Dr. Seselj and Zhirinovsky redeem the world from evil, and establish God's government under their supervision, there will be peace on earth. On the other hand, the question is, how long will that peace last.

Im very hopeful,,,,the world is actually made up of peace, love and harmony....and who disintegrated all these..human..it' is all about human here ....if they refrain from being greedy and busy of empowering themselves..the world is a better palce to live in, if there is unity among all people without taking advantage of the others, then possible peace can be obtained..of course this all start in the smallest unit of a society, the family, then the society, the the country then the world....it is all a matter of acceptance of each other and loving one another........so guess it is possible!

Yes. that depends on what kind of peace you're saying.
Religion can bring inner peace.
Love can bring inner peace.
But if you're talking about world peace between each and everyone, then no.
Conflicts and disagreements are inevitable because everyone is imperfect and selfish to a certain extent.

no it's not. it's hard enough to keep peace in a household full of toddlers. let alone expect everyone on the planet to be peaceful. there will always be people who disagree and there are people who have natural tendencies to be combative. i have a tattoo on my arm that says peace for humanity. and even i know its just wishful thinking and hoping. i just try to do what i can in my everyday life to help whoever i can.

Of course it's possible. I know how fast I found peace within myself.. after an entire 24 years of being depressed and not having it... within minutes, I KNOW it's possible.. and not that hard to come by..
I know that understanding how to study properly, and using Scientology's study technology, understanding how to clear words, not going past words that you do not FULLY understand when reading, so you understand the ENTIRETY of whatever you maybe reading, are basic steps that so many of us do not know, because if we did,.. we would ALL be happy and full of energy!
