The former President's "outrage" was a transparent ploy and the comparison to the "swift boat" attack on Sen. Kerry was pathetic. This is a calculated thing though. Sen. Clinton has to look strong, so she says "They're just attacking me because I am the front runner. It's expected." Meanwhile former President Clinton and some others come out and feign outrage.

It's a good strategy. I don't know if most people will see through it.

Hillary doesn't need Bill to save her, but he does it anyway because that's what's expected of him as a husband who was once president.

EDIT: Yes, but Hillary doesn't have a boss. She's in charge of her own campaign.
