seems kind of sluggish, and not as active these days. I think he eats, but he doesn't eat all. I don't really see him that much but maybe that's because he's nocturnal? He seems to be in his cave/home thing a lot more nowadays. He's around five years old?

wel for one i hope you have heat on him. Two he could have an impaction...if you have him on a sand based substrate then you need to get him off of it and contact a vet about what to do next. Feel his stomach and see if there is a hard spot in it, if so then its a compaction wich makes them not eat and to be sluggish. Use news paper or reeptile carpet for substrate... heres a cool web site that you can ask questions at if you need further help, they are very friendly... www.herpinverts.com

First, double check your setup is correct. He should have an undertank heater (not top heat)--is it still working at the correct temperature? Have you tried to vary his diet with other types of insects? Try phoenix worms or silkworms for a change. Leos will brumate in the winter--a type of hibernation where they sleep more. Is his tail still fat? If he isn't losing weight, he could just be brumating. Best thing to do is have a good check up and a fecal sample checked at a knowledgeable reptile vet.
