I know the common spelling mistake of "grammer" instead of "grammar".
Sorry, couldn't resist. Forgive me?

The most common is probably the misuse of the comma, but ending a sentence in a preposition is a close second. It is so common that we feel more comfortable with the "incorrect" grammar than with the "correct" grammar. Sir Winston Churchill was criticized for this in the British House of Commons. His reply was, "Mr. Speaker, the placement of a preposition at the end of a sentence is something up with which I will not put." This illustrates how out of use the officially correct form is.

A most common punctuational mistake made by writers is the incorrect manner of ending quotation marks coupled with a comma.
An example of incorrect use: "Using the comma at the end of dialogue should be expressed like this", he said, "but I don't buy it."
An example of correct use: "I've since learned that the comma should always precede the ending quotation mark," he replied.
A common grammatical error is starting a sentence with the word however when nevertheless is better served.
Example: However, it is always best to write correctly using proper English.
Change to: Nevertheless, it is always best . . .

People constantly misusing "there", "their", and "they're".
They're over there, misusing their words and claiming that there is nothing wrong with their grammar, when all the while they're displaying their ignorance. So there.
