You've still got a good chance of passing, but even if you don't, don't worry too much. All that will happen is they will have you see a nutritionist, and have you follow some special diet guidelines, limiting sweets and stuff like that. They'll also just keep an eye on your blood sugar. My cousin had gestational diabetes and she and the baby were both fine.

I had the same problem. I had the 3 hours glucose test done last week, turned out to be fine. I think the first test is stupid, they always make us take the 3 hours test. I was told that it was ok to have sugar in my urine, as long as my body produce enough insulin. I'd say 50/50 chance that you'd pass the 2nd test. Don't stress yourself out, it'll be alright. Good luck!!

I am now not definite what it is you're questioning about your OGTT, my friend. The outcome are obviously 'traditional' for a non-diabetic ... Even the response curve is absolutely typical. After you drank the glucola ... The sickly sweet glucose drink ... It's typical for blood glucose levels to rise, as much as a interval of approximately ninety minutes to 2 hours. This is seeing that it takes a little even as for the glucose to be absorbed via the walls of the intestines into the bloodstream. Having taken within the glucose, the beta cells (islets of Langerhans) of your pancreas would produce insulin, specifically to permit the glucose to be 'transported' into your physique's cells, the place it is used to create vigour.
