:) Well it is not as though I do not have a good paying job already @ about 44k. Just graduated in 2006 with BS in Economics but do not feel as though my work exp is good enough to get into tier 1/2 schools for MBA. To finish my BS in accounting it would take me 2 full-time and 1 part-time (maybe summer courses). Which would enable me to sit for CPA (need about 400 additional hours -which i would make up for during the time in school. In terms of finances, bills are payed off expect for a remaining school (5.5k) and cell phone.-- With the acct degree, I can expect to earn 55k base +10k increases annually if not more.

it depends, how valuable do you really think you are at your job. if you are confident that you're valuable, he might be likely to give it to you but i wouldn't give an ultimatum. they're likely to can you out right just because of that. tell them you enjoy your work but know you can go back to school and make more money but would like to stay where you are, is he willing to negotiate your salary.

Go for the education. Its the best thing for the long term.

By the way, you won't know about the MBA programs until you try...
