A "small" Dairy Queen chocolate cone has 7g of fat total of which 5 is saturated. It also has 20 mg of cholesterol. Why is life so unfair?

Wow, Dais'....you brought people in from all over!! Anyway....my two cents...didn't like those figures either, but it's probably not going to stop my occasional splurge. And here, DQ and Krispy Creme are right next to each other. How's that for temptation?! lol

Wow, I thought you were going to have something really
devastating to tell us. Not that I'm disappointed. But
having to watch fats and cholesterol and carbs, I do allow my-
self the treat of sweets. But it's all in how you manage your
eating of them. I just had about four teaspoons of Lady Godiva Belgian something or other. The trick is learning to
not continue eating the rest of the container LOL. The
hardest thing of watching your weight or diet in general is
knowing when to stop eating. So measuring the smaller
amounts and then only eating those small amounts without
going for seconds is the main thing to consider. On very
rare occasions, I make the ultimate splurge. I buy a small
hot fudge sundae at McDonalds and share the ice cream
with our dog. I remove as much of the ice cream and put it
into the lid for her to eat. And I eat the hot fudge and nuts
and what's left of the ice cream. And I savor it, believe me.
I feel once or twice a year, it's not going to affect my health,
and yet it will help my attitude and make me feel great for
the time being. So we all need a morale boost every so
often. Why not get it in a spoon?

I'm still a risk taker. Too bad, though, my Dairy Queen doesn't have chocolate.

I'll take a two scooper of Thrifty's Chocolate. And, I don't want to know about the fat.

Nobody ever said life would be fair!

Are you a Senior Citizen? I am and your bad news does not bother me one bit! I eat very sensibly and always healthy!
However, when I want an ice cream - I have an ice cream - complete with sprinkles, nuts, chocolate sauce and a cherry!
Oh! yes and whipped cream too! Life is just too bloody short to worry over 20 mg of cholesterol! Just my opinion.

I had a dairy queen vanilla cone a couple of weeks ago and it gave me a horrible tummy ache. I was so disappointed.

Oh honey just eat the darn thing if'n ya want. Then walk around the mall a time or two. Make sure you have your leg warmers on and headband like granny beano does. And don't ferget to lift those elbows mighty high.

make up a sign: DAIRY QUEEN UNFAIR TO CHOLESTEROL SENSITIVE ICE CREAM LOVERS. Then print hundreds of them, give to all your friends, and march up and down in front of the Dairy Queen store. OH---be sure to get a police parade permit first, or you will all wind up in the "COOLER"

That doesn't really bother me. I'm a Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia fan. And no, I don't care how much fat and cholesterol is in it. It's to late to change my poor eating habits.

I recently picked a new primary care doctor. After two visits and exhaustive lab tests, he said I was doing "fairly well" for my age.
A little concerned about that comment, I couldn't resist asking him, "Do you think I'll live to be 80?"
He asked, "Do you smoke tobacco, or drink beer or wine?"
"Oh no," I replied. "I'm not doing drugs, either!"
Then he asked, "Do you eat rib-eye steaks and barbecued ribs?
I said, "No, my former doctor said that all red meat is very unhealthy!"
"Do you spend a lot of time in the sun, like playing golf, sailing, hiking, or bicycling?"
"No, I don't," I said.
He asked, "Do you gamble, drive fast cars, or have a lot of sex?"
"No," I said.
He looked at me and said, "Then, why do you
even give a s-h-i-t?"
