what is the largest common factor of BOTH
42 and 63??

find that - then divide it into both 42 and 63

for example (e.g.) 9/12

largest is 3 - divide into both and I get
3/4

Do the long division of 42/63 and you'll get .66666 repeating. Then, using a graphing calculator, I found that it equals 2/3. Or, just keep finding the least common multiples of 42 and 63 and simplify it all the way down to 2/3.

i think all u have to do is find the greatest # that goes into each so it would be 2/3 cuz 21 goes into both
