Nearly every game has some kind of warning somewhere about doing this.

Why is that?

I doubt there is a 'real' reason. Sure, there's probably some possible 'bad' effect it can have on specific people. Perhaps something like causing an epileptic fit in certain people. Unless you are diagnosed with some rare form of epilepsy however, I don't think the warning applies.

You have to keep in mind, all the crazy things they have to 'warn' people about. It's really not so much cautionary advice as it is simply them labeling every possible problems to avoid law suites or other legal problems. People can sue for the dumbest and unreasonable reasons these days, hence all the dumb, nonsensical, obvious, and even preposterous warnings.

Edit: Yes it's true, after smoking and driving under the influence, video games are the number one cause of teenage death.

In reality, the only death related to video games (aside from the killers who people like Jack Thompson claimed were inspired by violent video games) is a 28-year old South Korean Man who played a game 50 hours non-stop, though officials pointed out, the fact that he hadn't eaten or slept probably didn't help.

You'll lose, but then you'll probably lose anyway. Then when you wake up you'll be irritable and unwilling to face work. Get some rest, you'll feel better.
