I assume your using windows xp. So heres a short step by step instruction. On the desktop, click start then control panel, then printers and faxes. You will see an add printer and others if any. make sure that there is no duplicated names if there is delete others with same name. then right click on the desired printer then select default.

This should make it work.

Whgat operating system are you using? Below would be for windows variant. if linux or osx answer would be different.

1. is it plugged into the wall and switched on at the wall (serious quesion)
2. is the power switch turned on on the printer?
3. is it connected to the pc via either a parallel or usb cable?

r u using xp?

go to control panel, printers and make sure its there

In the application you're printing from, make sure that the printer you have selected is correct (ie that its sending to the printer of the same name you are trying to make work)

if all of the above wont work, press F1 in windows (help)

type "install a printer"

follow the bouncing ball.

if this doesnt work, reinstall the drivers from the cd

If still no joy, provide more detailled question of the precise fault and the steps you've taken to get it going.
