I went to a dr about my back constantly hurting and i was told that i need a breast reduction but cant get it because i am supposedly too fat for it...what are the requirements for it and can it be prooven medicaly nesscary for it to be done will the insurance pay for it?

Talk to a PS, and not a regular doctor.

Depending on how picky your insurance company is you MAY need to lose weight.

I was slightly overweight and still got approved for a breast reduction.

Talk with the insurance company first.

And, lose weight! :)

Insurance will pay for it, your doctor probably just wants you to lose some weight so the surgery will be successful and not cause more stress on your body then needed, basically just work out stay away from the junk food. I would say your doctor would need you to have a healthy bmi before operation.

A friend of mine had one done and she was over weight, the bad part was that her stomach stuck out more than her boobs did!!!! did not look good at all. She wishes that she lost the weight first!

you should lose around 50 lbs

u dont sound tooo overweight! just try to eat reeelly healthy and exersoze or sumthin and your boobs will get smaller as you do!

heck yeah you need to lose about 70lbs.... your breast size will go down a lot if you do.
