people of intelligence know that you can read all the books ever written, but still know only some of the answers.
people of faith believe that you can read just one book, and know all the answers.

One of the main points of the Christian faith is the belief that God granted humans free will which would mean that people who believe the Bible are assuming all consequences for their actions.That being said,you do believe in Mother Goose, not necessarily the actual events that took place, but the morals and values Mother Gooses attempts to impose upon you. Which, is essentially the same thing the Bible tries to do through Jesus' parables.

A lot of people have a psychological need for religion. It's against their nature to be rational. They would believe Mother Goose if it was in the Bible.

well it depends upon whether or not we can prove any actual existence. we cannot prove that mother goose actually existed because the only book we can find her in are the story-book type books. but we can prove jesus christ actually existed. the bible is not the only book that we find jesus written about in. there are records of jesus in the official roman records that they kept and which they were able to escavate archialogical. many non religious people respect the writings of josephus. josephus was all over the topic of jesus christ in his writings. what about all those non religious respectable docs that talk about jesus? people have abused the bible and used it to oppress others like women and minority. thats true. but god didnt tell em to use it in that fashion. they did it out of self desires.
