on profiles i know some people put their FAKE NAME, AGE, AND WHERE U R LIVING(town state. )
WHY?
i mean what if a long lost friend is trying to find you and ur not giving ur REAL info, and they wont know its you, i know its for saftey,
but a friend migh be trying to find u.
im trying to find all of my old elmentry school friends
cant find them
on myspace
people always give wrong age name, lives, gender
the only thing i cant for me is age
at least i put everything else
if a long lost friend finds me /.... yay!
so why do some people give fakes?

i tryin to do the same thing but you can look on other sites and check their school, birthday,real name ,display name or e-mail. .................................try their real name it works better i found a couple of my friends from 3rd grade by typing in their real name trust me it works

That might not be the only one they have. They might have a real one for friends to find, and another one of a fun fake person.
Mainly because they havent yet discovered role-playing sites such as SecondLife where they can have all the fun they want being what they WANT to be.

some people aren't there to find other people
and some gives out fake age because some are underage to have a myspace account.
and SOME just make everything up because they think it's funny
how do you know if they have the wrong age down anyway?

cuzz my dad is sooo overprotective...
i have a fake last name, location, and the age is 1 year off cuzz im only 13....but i dont have any long lost friends so it doesnt bother me..

They are either afraid that some perv may chat/message them or something of that sort or scared and put false info cause they don't want their parents to know so if they look they wont find anything.

i think theres alot of lonely people in this world , they may be so lonely they create someone they are not , just so someone out there ma y accept them , maybe fantsy , maybe a last cry for attention , who really knows

they are hiding. if your going to hide from online predators, then u would not put anything or even post online. these same people put their picture online which is all an online predator needs. myspace accounts can and have been hacked to to carelessness by these same people hiding, logging into a fake myspace page. It never fails.

i use facebook to find old friends
the full name is on there and real info.
some people do it because they are dumb and want to trick people.
or they are just being extremely careful and want to keep
everything private and are scared of what might happen.
also when people make fake profiles of other people
you dont know who is the real one, i hate that too.

yeah same here everything is real on mine
i try to look for old freinds since i moved to a new town
and i cant find them since they dont put up their real info
and i dont like facebook so i dont go on it to look for people
im pretty sure it 4 safety

why? bc like a whoooolllllleeeee bunch of freaking weirdo old men could b a pedafile or w.e and try and get real personal info. and i say ya you should put ur real name lik first and last but..idk bout age and state and city or age
