if i go to university of michigan, which has the top third best undergrad business program in the country and got exceptoinal grades in college and got some internships and work experience would i get into Harvard business school and if i went there would i get hired as an investment banker?

All of this would help, but it is also important to do summer internships at investment banks. Quite a few choose their "classes" of undergraduate and MBA personnel primarily from summer internship programs (junior year for undergraduate, and after the first year for MBA). Needless to say, you must do well against stiff competition in the internships.

Generally have have to get a certain amount of work experience and work your way up.
