There are other suns, right?

there are other suns.

suns don't exist to provide life. much much less than 1% of the universe is life on Earth.

suns exist because of physics and the rules of physics made the suns. because of suns there is the probability that life will randomly be created on some other planet, but it doesn't mean it has to happen.

Lots of people ask questions like this, where the premise is that things must have a purpose in order to exist. Stars have no purpose. They weren't designed. Even the sun has no purpose. We just happen to live on a planet that benefitted from the fact that the sun's distance and temperature were right for life.

"Suns" are merely a class of stars - and just because we call them that does NOT mean that they HAVE to support life...

If they do, then they do - and if not, then they don't. It's as simple as that.

The Universe is a VERY big place - and we have only seen the tiniest part of it (and explored even less than that). Who is to say that there isn't other life out there (intelligent or not) - there could easily be forms of "life" that we wouldn't even be able to recognize...

The Universe is just THERE - it doesn't need a purpose. This is one of the biggest flaws I find with most religions - if they claim that a higher power (God) created the Universe, then why did he/she/it/they make it almost completely EMPTY??? ;);););)

Nothing in this universe is "for" anything. It just IS.
