I think they deserve better pay and good benefits, if they need to strike, than more power to them. It is our right to stand up for what we believe, that's our freedom and part of the beauty of living in the USA. The good ol American dream. It doesn't bother me...for their sake, I hope it's settled soon in their favor.

How sad that no new episodes of Zack and Cody's Suite Life or Hannah Montana will be penned any time soon. NOT!!!!!!! There is nothing I care less about in my life than a writer's strike. Most of their shows suck anyway. Caveman? Carpool? Who are they kidding? How hard is it to write the script for 24? "I'M A FEDERAL AGENT! DROP THE GUN BY ORDER OF THE PRESIDENT!" Same shiit every week. How about "reality shows"? If they are "reality", why do they need writers? I can't believe the writers cash their paychecks. I would be embarrassed. Like I was cheating the network.

Part of me couldn't care less, just like you. But in another way, it's just going to take away the creativity for one of my favorite shows that happens to be coming on tonight, Ugly Betty. People have got to understand that in any occupation you are in (this goes for writers too), you deserve to get paid a fair amount of money for the work that you do. There is nothing worse than putting your blood, sweat, and tears into something that you love (or like or something you just have to have to support yourself) only to get paid a bunch of table scraps at the end! I hope this gets straightened out soon. No need for this inhumane treatment!

There are thousands of regular people employed in the television production industry from caterers to cleaners to carpenters to make-up artists. If this strike continues, many will lose their jobs, even if temporarily. With bills to pay and families to support, spare a thought for them.

I'm with you MONA LISA. I couldn't care less about the writers or any of the "opiate of the masses" that TV is nowadays.

How someone who works on a sitcom or a soap opera could call himself a "writer" is beyond me. Shakespeare is rolling over in his casket.

If it wasn't that you'd get clobbered, scab writers could easily fill the void
