My mom always does that. Our brand-new sofa's plastic covering is still there after 6 months and will be so after it gets all tattered or something.
I still also have the plastic covering on my cellphone's screen, and I had it for 4 months now.

No, that would be silly,
almost like leaving your
price tags on the clothing
you are wearing.
Plastic on furniture has been
"Passe' " for such a long time.
Normal folks just don't do things like that!
