Before mobile phones, everyone I knew had beepers (remember Easycall?) Now, the only ones I see still using beepers are doctors. Do you still use a beeper? If not, when was the last time you used one?

I am a doctor... and I don't have a beeper. A cellphone is much more convenient. What I hear is that several major hospitals are issuing cheap cellphones with 24/7 SIM cards (ahem, no names right?) to the residents so they can "talk all they want, text all they want" with their consultants.

No, Sir. Never had one of those.

But could be Security Agencies might be providing their personnel with this, or Investigators. Am only guessing, of course.
