Wireless Hardware and Dial-Up?

I'm still using dial-up because the cable companies don't come out this far. (Cable & DSL are NOT available to me.) My PC is a Dell Dimension 8250 Pentium 4 running Microsoft XP, 4 or 5 years old. Can I hook up a wireless router to my dial-up phone line? My ISP techs say yes, the local store clerks say no. Which is it?

If I can hook up a wireless router, please tell me what hardware I'll need?

Anyone had any experience with a Wi-Flyer unit?

No. Wireless units are only designed for broadband.
