I was told that Kucinich bravely brought up the articles of impeachment of Dick Cheney yesterday, yet I cannot find a word of this in the news, either domestic or foreign and no discussion of it on Democratic websites.
Isn't this shameful? We all spent hours talking about what Bill might have done with that cigar, the definition of "is" and I'm sure every guy in American pondered the Monica or Jennifer conundrum and every woman critiqued one or the other's weight and hairstyle.
So why, people, why the utter silence? Why did (you) the Dems run like panicked sheep in the face of the Reps changing their votes?
Thank heavens I'm not voting for either herd!

I don’t agree with the Democrats on not impeaching Bush and Cheney. Their political strategy is wrong but perhaps understandable. The Democrats are looking ahead and they see no advantage to be gained by going through this procedure.
The Democrats can easily impeach with their majority in the House of Representatives. They have sufficient grounds but they won’t get a conviction in the Senate because of the numbers. The Republicans didn’t care that they wouldn’t get a conviction when they impeached Clinton because their motive was to humiliate him. The Democrats see a win in 2008 without having to go down this road.

Because Bush and Dick control the majority of the world's supply of oil, the are stinking rich, and have never done any honest work to earn it.
There is over 1,000 different impeachable offenses committed by both of them, and we have heard nothing.
Declaring war against the support of the UN is an act of high treason.
Stealing the title of President and Vice President, despite the fact that they were NEVER elected is an act of high treason.
They should be tried and convicted of High Treason and war crimes, in the international court in Stockholm, Sweden.
The reason we do not see the truth in the US media, and mainstream media is because it is controlled by them.

People in congress are obviously afraid to impeach.
They are satisfied that George W. Bush's low approval rating will sink the Republicans in 2008.
They do not want people to feel sorry for Bush/Cheney and gain support out of sympathy.
But I think it is a wrong political move, I think they should impeach Bush and Cheney.

Oh quite a few of us will be more than happy to show up for THAT little party. Myself, I'm planning to bring marshmallows to roast over Cheney's coals...

no one would ever support it without concrete cause because of the precedent it would set. For those of you who want it done just satisfy yourselves, consider the fact that the first things Republicans would do when they took back power would be to impeach a Democratic president for no reason other than revenge. Then Dems would do the same when they took back power. You need a concrete crime, not one that goes against what you yourself believe, but that goes against actual written american law.

No doubt the all powerful Democrat congress either got cold feet or received an extra ration of brains when they decided to can this issue.
Seems the republicans would love to get this debated on the senate floor so the ultra libs could be finally identified as to what they really are.
And I would really love to see them get their empty accusations finally shot down.
