That would totally depend on your assessment of the cost of a lawyer versus the value of your own time.

In my case, I got a lawyer to work on it. It was neat, easy, and I was comfortable in the fact that he knew what he was doing. Yes, I spent a rather good amount of money, but I thought it was well worth it.

If you want to get you title processed in a "reasonable" abount of time it's best to pay someone to do it for you. It will cost more in "grease money", but it's worth it.

If time is not a problem for you, you can do it yopurself. It just takes 4x longer. Be prepered to spend 3 days at the city hall etc.

It will cost you a lot. I acquired a piece of land in the province, and the person who volunteered to do all the paperworks for me charges me 20,000.00. Meals and transportation expenses not included.

I processed the whole thing my self, and all i have to shell out was a mere 8,000.00. Big difference, huh? But it took me about a week and half to complete. Better to have it done yourself.

I'm a Real Estate Agent, my brother and father are Real Estate Brokers. I would advise that you should ask for a lawyer's assistance in processing your property titles.
