The first 5 positive powers of 3 are:

3^1 = 3
3^2 = 9
3^3 = 27
3^4 = 81
3^5 = 243

The reciprocals would be 1 divided by each of these numbers, namely:
1/3 + 1/9 + 1/27 + 1/81 + 1/243

Now to add these you need a common denominator, which will be 243. Converting to the same denominator you have:
81/243 + 27/243 + 9/243 + 3/243 + 1/243

Adding together you have:
(81 + 27 + 9 + 3 + 1) / 243
=121/243

This can't be reduced further, so you are done:
Answer = 121/243
