Is the Mediterannean race, the Greatest race in the world?

There is no "Mediterranean race." The Mediterranean Sea has been traversed for thousands of years and is a mixture of Greek, Phoenician, Black African, Arab, Venetian, Occitan-speakers and many other groups. Some places like Sicily have been conquered and reconquered by many different groups. For most of the height of Mediterranean superiority, the northern European peoples were not as sophisticated (but they certainly caught up later). Trade and easy access were the reasons that the Mediterraneans were able to trade (and also conduct war) with such ease.

As with many great civilizations, the Mediterraneans fell behind the northern Europeans in later years. PS India is nowhere near the Mediterranean and were only contacted along the Silk Road.

Maybe they were the greatest race when they had ancient civilizations however I dont know about today, does there really have to be such a thing?
