Well you know my beliefs Bex so for me dying is not a problem because I know that it is only my earthly body that dies, my soul will go on to a better place. How I will die is another situation altogether - I think anyone, me included, would like to just slip away in their sleep, free from pain. I certainly wouldn't want a lingering 'death'. x

I'm not scared of dying Bex but the thought of how I might die scares me ie: a long lingering illness or tragic accident. I'd like to go how my dead went - in his sleep - however he was only 52 and went to bed fit and healthy.

How I will die. Dying itself is a fact, and even if it is earlier than an old age death, it is still the same process and is not painful in and of itself. BUT, the mode of death has the potential to be painful, long, hideous, or any variation of unpleasant. To tell the truth, my greatest fear is to die in a moment of terror (like being killed and knowing it) or to die a long and agonizing death (like terminal cancer). But being dead and the actuality of death is not scary at all. Sometimes even peaceful.

Well, I don't want to die by being murdered. I also wouldn't want to have an accident and be alive for a few minutes knowing that I'm going to die.
The whole concept does scare me sometimes....I think it's the thought of never seeing my family again.

I'm not scared of being dead but dread the thought of years of pain and tablets and being a burden to family members who may be landed with expenses for my care which they may well be unable to really afford
