The freezer in my side by side refrigerator quit, but I caught it before everything thawed and moved all to the chest freezer. It mysteriously started working again, so I moved the stuff I use frequently back in. Then I noticed I had run out of ice. Unfortunately, the icemaker is still broken. I really HATE that because it made lovely, ROUND ice cubes, and you can't find one like that anymore. I had to break out the antique ice trays. Amazing what you take for granted, huh?

Stupid GE Profile duel convection oven. If you ever want a good laugh, google GE F7.

That's my world right now. Of course, we don't have the $2,300 to replace it just yet, so we get to run down to the basement and turn our oven on and off from the circuit breaker box. Awesome. But wait, there's more. When we do cook something, we get to stand next to the oven so we can keep hitting a series of cancel, stop and broil buttons for the duration of the cooking process. It's really fun. You should try it sometime.

I wish!
My ancient avocado* stove and refrigerator (they came with the husband and the house) just keep on running and running and running...
I SO want them to die so I can replace them.

*for you young'uns, avocado (think exactly the color of an avocado) was a popular appliance color back in the 60s!
