Hold a flashlight up to the bottom of the egg...it is the big end....that is called candling an egg.....Depending how old the egg is or the circumstances in which you got it you may look for....A young egg....There will be a round yoke in the center of the egg....If it is much older you can see the embryo....if the egg is infertile the yoke will be laying at the bottom of the egg.....Any bird egg should be put back in the nest after you candle it.

I think it is if it floats, or the other way around. Check an egg from a store first to see which it is.

well u can hold the egg under light and the light will let you see through the egg then you can see if there is a duckling in there or not

you would see a darker area and veins coming out. Looks really weird.

hold it up to a light...if you see an odd shape inside, it's the duckling growing...don't eat that one...

when you tap it with ur finger it does not sound as hollow as the unfertilized
